There was a time when I used to run from cameras. Not because I am camera shy, but just lazy and did not want to stand and make up a pretentious smile, just felt stupid. But that has all changed now. It was a moment of enlightenment which made me realize what I had been missing out on. My wife had been suggesting we buy a DSLR for a while, and I kept refusing. But I decided to buy her one for her birthday two years ago. Did a bunch of research and fixed my mind to buy the Canon Rebel T1i.

It been an amazing ride ever since. I fell in love with the camera the moment I laid my hands on it, it was a surreal feeling. I cursed myself for having waited so long. Went onto purchase a some lenses, a tripod, a great sling bag, and extra memory cards. Scoured the internet for self-help photography tutorials, spent hours pic king up new skills.

Photography is a great escape, your camera will be a great companion no matter where you are. I do not classify myself as a creative type, but the camera allows me to dabble with creativity while still being in touch with technology, a great combination IMHO.
